I’ve created this blog for my internet marketing class. The majority of our grade is based upon our efforts to generate traffic to it. So far I have created a Facebook fan page and Twitter account. My plans for the future are to locate other blogs, forums, and web communities that may attract members of my niche, aka females in the early stages of their marketing careers. I will post to those communities and include a link to my blog. I intend to post a video blog here which will also be posted on YouTube. I think a video is important because my blog will be intimate and honest and viewers should be able to feel close to me. Those are the ideas that I currently have as far as the web is concerned. I intend to also network in person. I’ve actually found myself becoming more motivated to jump start my career. I’m considering organizations that would attract members of my niche and have so far found the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Next I will look for marketing-specific seminars. I will create business cards for myself and have those on hand at all times.
